I stumbled upon this great little track recently and thought I had to share it. VanGuard, an up coming nu disco/funk house duo from Cardiff, Britain, produced the track, titled “Loving Someone Else.” The song itself is an upbeat nu disco piece with a small electro funkness to it, featuring a lighthearted and twisty melody with catchy vocals to make an infectious dance floor killer. You can buy the track now on Beatport and hear more tracks from VanGuard on their Soundcloud.

Our friends over at Dynamics recently released a new track titled “Vienna” that I have been loving of late and I think more people need to hear. The San Francisco based duo, consisting of Avi Jhingan and Christian Lee, has been a rising presence in the Bay Area electronic music scene, opening for acts such as Dada Life, Designer Drugs, Treasure Fingers, Grum, and many more. Known for their upbeat productions and high energy sets, I expect them to continue to rise in fame for the long haul.
Taking a different direction from the group’s uplifting electro-house styled songs of the past, Vienna has a much funkier french house/nu-disco feel to it. The song has a sexiness that is infectious to listen to as the light french house synths effortlessly bounce off of the rolling bass line, using small breaks and changes in the beat to keep the song interesting throughout. I’m looking forward to hearing more tracks from these guys in the near future. The song can be downloaded for free off their Soundcloud so go and grab it asap.

New release by TJR last week, titled “Funky Vodka,” and it’s one that’s sure to get your dance groove going. Featuring a funky, rolling bassline and samples from Toots & The Maytals, this track captures some of that old-school house groove. One shot of this song and you can’t help but bob your head along to the beat. Released on Chris Lake’s label Rising Digital Records, the track can be picked up now on Beatport.
For those who don’t know, Plus One, from the Scratch Perverts, and Beni G, of the Mixologists, make up the heavy-hitting duo, Jack Beats! Both DJs have deep hip-hop and scratch influences which flows over nicely to their unique blend of music. Their production encompasses fast-paced fidgety percussion, phat basslines, and more wobbles than your 300 hundred pound girlfriend in a wave pool. These guys are one of kind and always put out genre-pushing music!
More recently, Jack Beats released their latest single, End Of Love, via Deconstruction Records. They play with the tempo, mixing in their signature wobbles and funky beats, with a pinch of dubstep flavor to ensure that all parts of the food pyramid are met. If you’re itching for the bass, look no further! Jack has got your back!

Fedde Le Grand hasn’t looked back, after his 2006 hit, Put Your Hands Up For Detroit, placed him at the top of the charts.Taking inspiration from everything, from hip-hop and festival house to hard-twisted tech beats, FLG’s stellar work has built him a reputation of pushing musical boundaries and keeping it fresh! More recently, FLG has finally released his 2009 remix of Cassius’ electrical tune, The Sound Of Violence. FLG takes the original and smoothes the edges with a well-shaped tech flow, creating an eargasmic combination of baby-making-rug-cutting music! Enjoy!

We’re all about those classic throwback jams and this time we’re taking you back to the late 90′s on this one. The original by Stardust is one of those tunes you can throw on mid set at a party or just kicking back with the homies and it fits the mood. There’s no denying this song has some serious groove and a genius sample from Chaka Khan take it to the next level. Today we’ll give you a taste of this latin infused, groovy tech flavored remix by Gabe and Marcello out of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Once you hear this bassline, you’ll know.
The man has done it again. Eagerly awaiting his third studio album, we at SNS want to spread the word about the third single ‘Feel So Close’. Fresh off the massive club/festival success of ‘Awooga’ and ‘Bounce’ featuring Kelis, Calvin is back with his signature style which finds him once again crooning oh so smoothly. Expect to hear this track the rest of the year!
Remix duty on this one is done by electro A-Lister Benny Benassi and UK dub heroes NERO. Moombahton master Dillon Francis adds the third mix. EP drops August 21.

Swedish DJ/Producer, Alesso has really been making a name for himself lately. This young and talented artist has gotten a lot of attention in the electronic scene recently and was signed to Sebastien Ingrosso’s label Refune, alongside other big names from the past year like Swanky Tunes and Style of Eye. This label is red hot right now.
Alesso just played at one of the biggest shows the US has seen, EDC Las Vegas. He opened Saturday on the Cosmic Meadow stage and Sunday he got to play before heavy hitters Avicii and Swedish House Mafia on the main stage. Alesso was by far one of our favorites from the festival because he didn’t sound like other acts that were there. It is easy to tell that he has developed his own sound and production wise, he is very talented. His track Nillionaire has an epic buildup and a drop that really gets your feet moving. His remixes do not disappoint either. His remix of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem is nothing short of a banger with a great vocal sample. Alesso is the real deal, a wonderful DJ, producer, and remixer. You can get these classic Alesso tracks below.
